We all know that superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated film Kaala is gearing up for a huge release on June 7th. But giving a shock to everyone, the distributors have voluntarily decided to stop the release of Kaala in Karnataka. It’s because of the shocking statements of the actor on Cauvery water issue.
Recently, Rajinikanth made some comments on Cauvery issue and asked the new Chief Minister of Karnataka Kumaraswamy to abide by the mandate of Supreme Court and release the water for Tamil Nadu. These statements sparked the controversy and demanding the ban of Rajinikanth’s films in Karnataka. Karnataka film association have met to discuss about the issue and took a decision to stop the film’s release.
This will definitely effect the producers of this film, as he has a great fan base in Karnataka. Directed by Ranjith Pa, the film is produced by Dhanush.
