After disappointing with the Sitha movie Bellamkonda Srinivas came up with “Rakshasudu” which is a remake of tamil movie ‘Ratsasan’. This movie was directed by Ramesh varma and Anupama Parameswaran will be seen as female lead. This movie came to screen today lets see about the review.
Coming to the story, Arun(Bellamkonda Srinivas)is a cop who got his fathers job. In mean time, teenage girls in the city keep getting kidnapped one after the other. With the orders of higer athorities Arun and his team has to deal the case. After few moment Arun’s nice gets kidnapped all of a sudden and from here actuall twist arises. How Arun cracks the case and how he saved his nice is the rest of the story.
When coming to the performances, we should mainly appriciate Bellamkonda Srinivas. Even though he is having mass image but he sheds his mass image and surprises with his acting skills. He is neat and displays superb emotions throughout the film as a super serious cop. Anupama Parameswaran gets a decent role and makes good use of it. Rajeev Kanakala gave his best performance as a cop. In one particular scene during his daughter’s kidnapping his acting is amazing. The supporting characters like Kasi Vishwanath and other actors did their job in a nice manner. Rest of the charectors played accordingly to their roles.
Technical Aspect :
Coming to the director Ramesh Varma, even though this is a remake movie he got full grip on the script and made few changes to connect the telugu audience. He did not add any unnecessary scenes or fights for Bellamkonda. His narration is gripping as he managed to show the film without many boring moments which is the best point.Ghibran’s background score adds a lot of depth to the film and lifts the last 20 minutes to another level. Editing and cinematography are upto the mark. Production values are decent.
Overall, Finally Bellamkonda Srinivas feels like a fish out of water with this movie. His weaknesses related to the dialogue delivery and lack of intensity in carrying a role is exposed with this role. Rakshashudu is a engaging psycho thriller everything you see by frame to frame.
